Despite ugly walk to beach through another property, beach is only about a 3-4 min walk. Was easy to socialize with other guests due to cozy pool arrangment. Pool is literally 4 feet outside your patio door, which the kids loved. pros- staff was very, very kind, friendly, and accomodating. Also, check out time is a very early 10am (no exceptions! in a prominent sign in room) which is inconvenient. A new sink had just been installed, which was nice, but there were mis-matched towel rod holders and inroom fridge and stove that was probably from the 70's. Cracked tile in bathroom, peeling wall paper, overwashed, tired sheets and bedding. Really, you have to walk through this other resort to get to the beach. I was not beach front, and the "beach path" is a very poorly maintained, flooded mud path that goes by a large resort's elevated parking lot. Usually I never go wrong with picking trip advisor "top rated" hotels, but I was disappointed here, more because I was expecting more.
