Clearly eternal life is knowing God the father and Jesus Christ the son. John 17:2-3 tells us what eternal life is, "For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. The most recognized and recited verse in the Bible is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." A lot of times, we put a period after 'shall not perish', but the verse clearly emphasizes the goal of salvation is having eternal life. When the tallies come back they will be granted access into heaven based upon works and being good overall.Įven many churches teach that the goal of Salvation is to escape Hell. They hope that at the end of their lives the amount of good they've done will outweigh the bad. Many people think the end goal is heaven. Today as you read this, I pray that you will recognize the truth written below so that you may know without a shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life. He has written complete volumes documenting His love extended towards you through the person of Jesus Christ. We find the answers to our questions in the Bible. He went through great pain to make sure that you could know and rest assured in Him.
He does not want you to go through life unaware of the truth. God wants you to know, believe and experience abundant life on this earth. John 20:31 tells us that, "these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" How To Know Without a Shadow of a Doubt that You Have Eternal Life There is a way to know for sure that you have eternal life.
